Skiseminar in Winter Semester 2017/2018

Seminar work and simulated research conference in Davos for Master Students

Dear Master students,

In the winter semester 2017/2018, the Department of Information Systems offers an advanced seminar (master) as a so-called Skiseminar. Dr. Nikolaus Schmidt (Senior Manager, Accenture GmbH) and Dr. Martin Deckert (Partner Skubsch Consulting, former COO UBS Germany) act as lecturers. The seminar deals with the theme complex "Financial Services 4.0 - Shaping the Digital Future of Banking".

The seminar participants write a seminar paper on the topic. The final presentations will take place within the framework of a simulated research conference, which will be conducted in Davos (Switzerland) in January 2018, similar to the last winter semester.

The costs for the ski seminar vary between 449 EUR and 529 EUR depending on the age and include the bus trip to Davos, accommodation on the spot including full board (breakfast, lunch package, dinner) and ski pass for the entire Davos-Klosters ski area.

More information about the seminar, the deadlines and requirements can be found at www.iis.uni-koeln.de/sites/winfo-iis/pdf/teaching/WS1718_ITO-GS-Ski-Seminar_Announcement_detailed_v104.pdf.

Registration for the seminar is possible by mail (nikolaus.schmidt@wiso.uni-koeln.de) until 30 July 2017. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact Nikolaus Schmidt.
